Overcoming Writer Block's Situation

 Hi all! 

For those of you who don't know who I am, let me introduce myself, I am Ken Utari, a poet, a fiction writer (hopefully I can write a full novel), a non-fiction writer, someone who is struggling to learn the world of film scripts, and don't forget a student majoring in English literature. 

Please forgive the messy bilingual use on this blog. I've separated the Indonesian and English sections, along with the categories for each post so you don't get confused.

It's been a long time since I last wrote something in this blog. I come back with an announcement!

I'm missing something that I've been holding on to for a long time, which is my writing skills. Therefore, I want to use my existing blog to write as much as possible and in the future, potentially generate something from my writings as well.

I want to tell you a little about my experience so far. I've liked the world of writing since childhood, but I always hesitate and feel insecure to publish my works or writings just because I'm still not convinced that my writing is worth reading. Until finally, from 2018 to 2021, I ventured to join various writing communities, take part in writing competitions, and contribute to various fiction anthologies.

My love for the world of writing (especially fiction) cannot be said to be a joke. However, over the course of a year or so, perhaps two, I began to dive into the world of non-fiction, and I got results that were somewhat less than worth it. Because in the end, I became a ghostwriter.

It was a very disappointing thing, because all this time I've been trying to write to be known by many people, which hopefully people can be inspired by my writing, but instead I got stuck in the ghostwriter circle just because I've known that the environment is an environment that produces money.

I admit that the payments I got were not bad, but not very good for my initial desire to become a role model writer and be liked by many people. If I became a ghostwriter, I would not be known and forever I will not have a portfolio containing my own writings because my work is licensed under someone else's name. It's really sad, isn't it? Therefore, I decided to restart my existing blog and try to develop it as I write and continue to improve my writing.

I take this as an opportunity so that I can be active in writing again and also re-honing my writing skills. Because, I'm not a writer if I don't write, am I right? Therefore, I will try to write every day and also post every day. Whether it's fiction, non-fiction, whether it's a short story or poetry.
